Darby Lee Young

As someone living with cerebral palsy, Darby Lee Young has seen firsthand the barriers that come from having a disability. That’s why Young has devoted her life to breaking down walls and creating a more accessible world for persons with disabilities. She founded Level Playing Field (LPF), an accessibility agency, in 2015. Through LPF, Young brings her vast experience as an accessibility consultant to help big-league organizations implement universal design principles and accessible best practices. Young is a former competitive para-alpine skier who’s won a series of accolades over the years, including Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 Award and the Calgary Stampede’s Western Legacy Award for Innovation. She was also named one of her native city’s most Compelling Calgarians.
