Since Deborah Ntawigirira came to Canada from Burundi to pursue her education, she’s noticed that Canadians are never without a cup of coffee in their hands. With that in mind, she and her mother committed to connecting their two homes—Burundi and Canada—through high-quality coffee. Izere represents hope and faith—values that exemplify the resilience and optimism of the local Burundian people. Deborah aims to provide high-quality Burundian coffee to different markets on a global level while also empowering the local farmers who harvest the beans.
