Dr. Aria Hahn

Dr. Aria Hahn is the Chief Technology Officer of Pocketed, a grant platform in Vancouver. Pocketed uses their matching platform to help North American companies access grants, tax credits, and incentives. Dr. Hahn holds a PhD in Metagenomics and Bioinformatics from the University of British Columbia. She co-founded Pocketed along with Brianna Blaney in 2020. They came up with the idea for the company during the COVID-19 pandemic when they realized that government grant funding was the key to keeping businesses afloat. Since then, they have been on a mission to break the barriers between businesses and their potential funding opportunities. Pocketed won the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs Pitch for the Purse Competition in 2022, as well as the People’s Choice Award at the 2022 UBC Entrepreneur Investor Showcase. Dr. Hahn is also the CEO of the technology company Koonkie Cloud Services.
