Ecko Aleck

Ecko Aleck is a multi-media performing artist and digital artist in Qualicum Beach, British Columbia. She is the CEO of Sacred Matriarch Creative, an Indigenous women–led facilitation, digital media, and performance storytelling service. Ecko was born in the Nlaka’pamux Nation and raised with the shishalh Nation. Named after her great grandmother, Sacred Matriarch Creative creates a space for intergenerational healing through workshop creation and facilitation, program development, art installations, presentations, and cultural performances like hip-hop shows. Ecko herself specializes in spoken word, rap, and singing. She is a graduate of the Art Institute of Vancouver, where she earned a diploma in Professional Recording Arts. In 2021, Sacred Matriarch Creative was a semi-finalist in the British Columbia Pow Wow Pitch.
