As a child who underwent chemotherapy at just five years old, Erin knew firsthand how hard it was to stomach hospital meal replacements. As a PhD focused in human nutritional science, Erin co-founded ViTal Functional Foods to create a project to improve hospital meal replacements. ViTal creates meal replacements that meet patients’ nutritional and energy needs but with a better taste – less sweet and fragrant than alternatives, to prevent patients from experiencing nausea and passing over their meal.
