Frances-Anne Solomon is an award-winning filmmaker, producer, writer, and creator, making giant headlines. Born in England of Trinidadian parents, she began her professional career as a Producer with BBC Radio Drama, then with BBC Television Drama and Films. She also produced and directed independent films through her company Leda Serene Films. Solomon founded CaribbeanTales a year after moving to Canada in 2001, with a vision to produce, market and sell educational multi-media projects highlighting Caribbean-heritage stories. She is the founder and CEO of CaribbeanTales Media Group, based in Barbados and Toronto, which now includes the annual CaribbeanTales Film Festival (now in its 14th year), and CaribbeanTales Worldwide Distribution, the largest film distribution company in the English-speaking Caribbean.
