Funmi Odeniyi

Funmi Odeniyi is the Creative Director of Michnat Fashion, a clothing brand headquartered in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Michnat Fashion makes clothes that have Afro-designs mixed with Western flair. Her clients can customize the clothing that she makes based on fabric type and size. Funmi has been designing clothes since she was ten years old. She started Michnat Fashion in 2020 after she immigrated to Halifax from Nigeria. In 2021, Immigrant Women Entrepreneurship Network recognized Funmi with the Entrepreneur of the Year Award. She was also awarded the Black Designers of Canada’s Award of Excellence 2021.
