Jennifer Irons is a successful entrepreneur, writer, and producer. She sold her healthcare company, the first Black-owned hospice company in Illinois, before attending Act One Film School in Hollywood, California, where she graduated and went on to independently write and produce several projects. In 2021, she founded META Talent Agency, Canada’s first Black film & TV literary talent agency, to address the disparity in access to agent representation for racialized writers and directors. She gained recognition and awards for her work, including being named one of Canada’s Top 20 Emerging Filmmakers of Color in 2019. Jennifer also worked as a writer for the CBC and NBC Universal drama co-production, “Pretty Hard Cases.” META Talent Agency is devoted to nurturing and advancing the careers of racialized creators in the film, TV, and digital entertainment industries. Jennifer’s business acumen and passion for supporting underrepresented creators has a significant impact in the Canadian film and TV industry.
