Jill grew up in Ferryland, where the Lighthouse at Ferryland Head has stood since 1870. Before being automated in 1970, the lighthouse was home to two families of the keepers – including Jill’s family. After being abandoned in the 1980s, Jill returned to breathe new life into the site by opening Lighthouse Picnics. Originally operating in a stand outside the lighthouse, the interior has since been restored. Jill prepares customized picnic baskets for visitors to have a unique lunch in the midst of the striking landscape.
