Julie Legault

Amino Labs is a biotechnology research company that makes genetic engineering and biotechnology accessible to teenagers, educators, and artists around the world. The company originates from the MIT Media Lab graduate thesis of Julie Legault, who is the founder and CEO of the company. Much of Julie’s career has been dedicated to finding an accessible entry point in the complex sciences, and Amino Labs has been met with unwavering success. Since its establishment in 2015, Amino Labs has won the UNESCO Netexplo Innovation Award and the O’Reilly Showcase Startup Award, the latter of which was decided based on a public vote. Beyond her work at Amino Labs, Julie is a fellow of the Coaching Fellowship program for Extraordinary Young Women Leaders of Impact and she is a faculty member of Singularity University Canada.
