Kellie Kerpan

Kellie Kerpan is the artisan, designer, and co-owner of Sple’tk Kindred Creations, a family business that creates and sells usable and wearable creations. Their creations include dreamcatchers, porcupine quillwork, moccasins, and jewelry. Sple’tk Kindred Creations is on the Native Women’s Association of Canada’s #BeTheDrum Indigenous Women’s Business Directory. Kellie is from a family of L’nu’k artists of Mi’kmaw ancestry, and she lives with the Natagumtuk Cultural Group of Badger from the Qalipu Nation in Newfoundland. In 2020, she was recognized as a community leader in the Qalipu Nation for her contributions to Indigenous arts. She runs land-based learning camps for Indigenous youth and elders, as well as a food distribution program for community members in need.
