When her son was an infant, Lisa would frequently bring him on outdoor adventures with her but struggled to find weather-proof outdoor footwear to keep him warm and dry. Lisa decided to solve the problem herself, producing the original Stonz Bootie and in her home workshop and selling it locally. With the goal of enabling kids to spend as much time outside as possible, Stonz expanded the line to sell more purpose-built products and now sells them internationally. With a focus on safety, Stonz is the only children’s footwear company that is certified by the Canadian Podiatric Medical Association (CPMA).
