Mariane Gaudreau

Mariane Gaudreau is the co-owner of Les Mauvaises Herbes, an online store and brand that specializes in homemade cosmetics and household products. She grew up in the small village of Cacouna and developed a passion for medicinal plants while studying archaeology. Her concern for the environment led her to adopt a zero-waste lifestyle, which inspired her to create homemade cosmetics to help solve her own skin issues. Together with her partners Audrey Woods and Marie Beaupré, they started the Les Trappeuses blog to share their homemade cosmetics recipes with others. Due to the success of the blog, they decided to open the Les Mauvaises Herbes store to offer prepared products that align with their environmental mission. The shop features products infused with local ingredients and medicinal plants and is known for their use of hemp, sunflower, conifers, and other natural ingredients. The brand’s name, Les Mauvaises Herbes, which means “The Weeds,” refers to the medicinal plants that are often overlooked but have many beneficial properties for the skin and health.
