After her husband passed away at a young age, Marilyn started her own business out of her Volkswagen van. With a desire to do something meaningful, and having never had enough clothing growing up, Marilyn founded Blue Sky Clothing. Her garments are designed with natural fibres and are manufactured with fair trade workers. With a focus on comfort and inclusivity, Blue Sky offers clothing in a wide selection of sizes. Offering ethically-sourced and sustainable garments to a wide audience has been a successful business practice: Blue Sky has grown from Marilyn’s van to 8 permanent stores across B.C. with an additional seasonal shop.
