Melissa Durrell

Melissa Durrell is the CEO and Chief Communications Strategist at Durrell Communications, a global public relations agency that innovates thoughtful and progressive communications strategies. Durrell Communications operates in a wide variety of industries including tech, healthcare, financial services, planning, and development. Melissa has been leading a team of communications professionals at her agency since she founded it in 2011. In 2021, her leadership was recognized by Great Place to Work, which listed Durrell Communications among the Best Workplaces Managed by Women. Melissa has a background in journalism, having earned a Bachelor of Journalism at Toronto Metropolitan University. She also studied Broadcast Television at the Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology, and she is an award-winning broadcast journalist. Melissa uses her platform to elevate women and she has served on the Board of Directors of Women’s March Canada.
