Micheline Côté

Micheline Côté is the founder and director of the L’Association Coopérative D’économie Familiale de l’Île-Jésus (ACEF), an organization that provides financial education to people through consultations, budget follow-up, and information workshops on various topics such as budget management, debt, contracts, and tenant rights. The organization also coordinates the Levallois Residential Stability project, which helps people experiencing homelessness find housing. ACEF has been responding to Laval tenants on their rights and obligations since 2003 and offers workshops to improve people’s living conditions at the housing level. The organization is a member of several consultation tables in Laval, including the TROCALL, which brings together different organizations interested in working in consultation to improve people’s living conditions. Through its efforts, ACEF aims to provide people with the necessary knowledge and tools to make informed financial decisions, improve their quality of life, and help them achieve long-term stability.
