Michelle Cameron is the CEO and owner of Dreamcatcher Promotions, which she started as a home-based business in 2011. She changed the name to Dreamcatcher Promotions in 2013 to better reflect the services offered beyond just embroidery. Michelle has faced many struggles in the first five years of her business, but she persevered and succeeded in her entrepreneurial journey. By 2018, Dreamcatcher Promotions had established its brand name, increased its client base, and gained recognition in the Indigenous community. Michelle manages the day-to-day operations of the company, which is the largest Indigenous-owned promotional company in Canada. She is also a coach for Red River College’s Side Hustle 101 program, helping new entrepreneurs start their businesses. In 2021, Michelle opened a sister company, Indigenous Nations Apparel Company (INAC), which has become a permanent store in the largest mall in Manitoba with plans to open stores Canada-wide.
