Mya Beaudry

Mya Beaudry is the young founder of Kokom Scrunchies. She was first inspired to craft her line of scrunchies after buying a kokom scarf, traditionally used as a head covering by Indigenous elders, at an Indigenous craft fair and using it to create a modern accessory. Mya has named the bright, floral scrunchies after Indigenous women who inspire her. Through her company, she hopes to share a small part of her Algonquin culture while bridging different generations. Each scrunchie is handcrafted by Mya and sold via instagram and e-commerce on her website.
