Prof. Xiaowu (Shirley) Tang

Shirley Tang is a talented researcher and entrepreneur, serving as both a Professor and Associate Dean at the University of Waterloo and co-founder of LeNano Diagnostics. She has a track record of securing over $2M in grants, and she has made significant contributions to the field of nanobiosensors through the creation of innovative analytical tools. One of her projects, a point-of-care testing platform for heart failure diagnosis, leverages the latest advancements in CNTs and AI integration. The project is currently undergoing clinical trials with the goal of commercialization.
