Raquel Urtasun

Raquel Urtasun is the founder and CEO of Waabi, a cutting-edge autonomous trucking technology company. Raquel has over 20 years of experience in AI, 10 years in building self-driving solutions, and she is a Professor of Computer Science at the University of Toronto. Waabi’s flagship product, the Waabi Driver, is a complete autonomous driving solution designed for OEM integration and commercialization. Waabi is focused on deploying its technology in logistics to address the driver shortage and safety issues. The company aims to work collaboratively with partners, customers, regulators, and the public towards rapid and safe deployment of self-driving transportation. Raquel is also the co-founder of the Vector Institute for AI and was named the 100 Women of Impact by Entrepreneur Magazine, 100 People Transforming Business by Business Insider, and Toronto’s Most Influential by Toronto Life Magazine.
