Rena Tabata

Rena is the Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Think Tank Innovations, the company behind the ShareSmart suite of secure, clinical messaging solutions. Rena has a celebrated background in medical ethics and neuroscience and was instrumental in transforming UBC Medicine’s “Doctor, Patient, and Society” curriculum to include experiential learning opportunities for marginalized population outreach, medical ethics, and NGO-engagement. Rena also led strategy and teams for Mitsui & Co. for the Energy Division out of Calgary, Alberta. Her background in medicine, clinical practice, business and finance guides Think Tank’s vision to become a global leader in privacy.
