Tomi Gbeleyi

Tomi Gbeleyi is a beauty and fashion entrepreneur in Toronto. She is the founder of Makeup for Melanin Girls (MFMG) Cosmetics, a beauty brand that focuses on diversity and inclusivity in their products. Tomi’s entrepreneurial journey started with a phone, an idea, and a business plan. She was driven to start MFMG Cosmetics in 2018 after she booked a runway gig, realized that her makeup did not suit her complexion, and recognized the need for more inclusive makeup products. Tomi launched her company by listening to an online community of over 300,000 women who believe that the beauty industry needs more diversity. Since then, the brand has received major media coverage from BuzzFeed, The New York Times, and CTV. In 2019, she was featured in The Globe and Mail as one of three Canadian entrepreneurs who are making the fashion industry more inclusive.
