Alexandra Picard-Sioui

Alexandra Picard-Sioui is a Wendat entrepreneur who founded Yawinonh, a business that supports women throughout their lives, from their first period to menopause. She draws on traditional knowledge of First Nations and modernity to celebrate femininity. She describes herself as a woman, a mother, a mother-in-law, a friend, a lover, and a confidante. Yawinonh offers a range of products and services to take care of oneself, including a small body line made in Quebec City, The business also offers a program of conferences and workshops to prepare for birth, integrate medicinal plants into daily routine, or live well through menstruation or menopause. Additionally, the business showcases Indigenous women’s art and crafts through a creation and exhibition room that feature beads, weaving, pottery, and drum making. Alexandra is a recipient of the 2022 Female Entrepreneurship awarded by Défi OSEntreprendre.
