Amy Smith is the co-owner of Heart Beet Organics, an organic vegetable farm in North Wiltshire, PEI. Heart Beet Organics also operates a Farmacy and Fermentery in downtown Charlottetown, where customers can get local, organic, simple, and real food. Amy owns Heart Beet Organics alongside her partner Verena Varga. They started Heart Beet Organics in 2010, farming over 200 varieties of heirloom vegetables with unique coloured varieties. The two-acre farm consists of two greenhouses and four high tunnels, which allows them to offer fresh vegetables as early as March. Heart Beet Organics is especially popular for their locally-made kombucha and high-quality organic ferments.
