Cassandra de Jong

Cassandra de Jong is an Indigenous jeweler who specializes in beadwork. She runs an online shop called Love Loops, where she sells beadwork jewelry. Her shop primarily operates out of a Facebook group, where she connects with a community of customers and art lovers. She started beadworking in March 2020 as a way to connect with her culture and her wellness. According to Cassandra, beadworking soothes her mind and her heart, which keeps her connected to her ancestors. Cassandra grew up in the Oromocto area in New Brunswick. Her business is listed in the Native Women’s Association of Canada’s #BeTheDrum Indigenous Women’s Business Directory.
