Christal Earle

After witnessing the impact of landfills on communities in the Dominican Republic, Christal Earle was driven to found a sustainable footwear company called Brave Soles. Through the upcycling of reclaimed materials such as tires, Brave Soles eliminates waste and creates handmade shoes with the principle that fashion and environmental consciousness go hand-in-hand. As of December 2022, Brave Soles has upcycled 3413 tires, and its work is monitored by Green Story to ensure 100% transparency on its production process. Christal’s success earned her a BMO Celebrating Women Grant in 2022, and she works as an Activator for Coralus (formerly SheEO), a global community of women and non-binary business professionals.
