Jacqueline Hutchings

Jacqueline Hutchings is the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Friendlier, a company that provides environmentally friendly packaging to food companies. Jacqueline is dedicated to using her skills and knowledge to contribute to positive global change and eliminating the gap between sustainability and convenience. She holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Waterloo, where she met her co-founder Kayli Dale. The two developed the idea for their business during their studies abroad in Sweden, where environmental sustainability is a higher priority in Swedish culture. Within 2 years of its foundation in 2020, Friendlier has supported over 150 businesses across Ontario, garnered the support of industry experts and leading accelerator programs, and won the BMO Celebrating Women Grant in 2022. The two women were also featured in Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2023.
