Christina’s love for chocolate began when she was a graduate student and developed a taste for imported European chocolate, a passion she shared with her husband. They got the idea to experiment with chocolate-making as a hobby, setting up a makeshift station in their basement. After research, further education, and positive feedback on their chocolate from friends and family, they made the move from hobby to business. The Newfoundland Chocolate Company features pictures of the namesake province, maps, descriptions, and products inspired by Christina’s home.
