Crystal Dixon

Crystal Dixon is a Heiltsuk artist in Bella Bella, British Columbia. She makes and sells jewelry through her business, Shining-Star Gifts, where she uses natural products such as cedar and materials from other Indigenous art suppliers. Her business name comes from her Heiltsuk name c̓ḷ́q̓ḷát̓út̓u̓a, which means Shining Star. Crystal is inspired by her father, who uses art therapy for pain management. Her business’s logo, which is a star, was designed by her father. Crystal’s business is listed in the Native Women’s Association of Canada’s #BeTheDrum Indigenous Women’s Business Directory.
