Daphne March is a wellness and recovery coach living in Newfoundland. She is the founder of ShaMaSha, a healing and wellness retreat center. Daphne is part of the Mi’kmaq First Nation and her culture guides her beliefs in healing and health. She founded ShaMaSha in honour of her father, Cyril Gilbert March, who was a community leader and healer. Although the actual meaning of “Shamasha” is unknown, Daphne’s father said the word as a greeting to everyone he met, which inspired the name of her business. At ShaMaSha, Daphne offers workshops and consulting services, wellness retreats in Newfoundland, one-on-one wellness coaching, and event speaking engagements. In 2021, her business was a semi-finalist in the Atlantic Pow Wow Pitch.
