Heather Morigeau

Heather Morigeau is the founder of FoodScape, a social enterprise that creates beautiful and naturally easy-care landscapes, replacing high maintenance lawns and gardens. Noting that traditional grass lawns require more water and energy than other crops, she seeks to provide an alternative greenspace that doesn’t compromise on the healing, spiritual attributes of gardens. Her business focuses on hiring workers from marginalized groups, who are part-owners of the company through the structured worker-owner co-op. Foodscape creates Indigenous medicine gardens, designed to make space for Indigenous spirituality, as well as edible, low-maintenance, medicinal, and artistic gardens.
