After immigrating to Canada from Palestine and spending only one year in Montreal, Israa opened her own business, a coworking space. Recognizing the need for professional working space for digital nomads – entrepreneurs, freelance, and remote workers – Israa opened Escritoire with the vision of creating a place for non-traditional workers to gather for work, to connect, and share ideas. With a focus on fostering community and honouring the neighbourhoods they work in, Escritoire offers workshops, social, and networking events to bring people together.
