Janice Larocque

Janice Larocque is the founder of Spirit Omega, a staffing agency specializing in recruiting Indigenous talent. After managing an Indigenous Career and Employment centre for 8 years, Janice was disappointed to see how many barriers Indigenous people faced while seeking employment. She founded Spirit Staffing to bridge the gap between Indigenous employment and the corporate sector in Calgary. With over 20 years in business and new partnerships, Janice has partnered with several large organizations and grown her operations, all while supporting her local community. She has received numerous recognitions for her work, including the Telus Trailblazer from RBC, Economic Developer of the Year from Cando, and the Small Business of the Year from Camsc.
