Jennifer LaPlante

Jennifer LaPlante is the founder of SafePath, an app that allows its users to make informed decisions about sidewalk, pathway, and bike lane safety. The app gathers data to provide active transportation options to its users and improve local accessibility. Jennifer is a technology entrepreneur with a Master of Business Administration from Dalhousie University, as well as a Master of Science in Computing and Data Analytics from Saint Mary’s University. In 2021, she was featured in DataIQ’s Top AI 100 for her work in innovation, analytics, and strategy. She is also the Executive Director of DeepSense, an innovation lab that gathers ocean data at Dalhousie University.
