Jessica Oblak

Jessica Oblak became an entrepreneur because she wanted to save lives. While working as a registered ICU nurse in 2017, she encountered copper-infused technical athletic wear that was odour-resistant and antibacterial. The result was a line for copper-infused medical uniforms designed to kill germs and reduce the risk of hospital infections. In 2019, Oblak was one of three finalists in the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs’ Pitch for the Purse. Here, she pitched her life-saving business plan to an audience of more than 600. It is Oblak’s dream that her invention will empower and support health care professionals and better protect patients and families all across North America.
