Judy Lam Maxwell

Judy Lam Maxwell is a historian and tour guide specializing in the history of Chinatowns around the world, the Chinese in Canada, and the Chinese Diaspora. With both European Canadian and Chinese Canadian heritage, she has deep roots in the history of Vancouver and completed an M.A. in History from the University of British Columbia. Judy is an active member of various organizations in Vancouver’s Chinatown, including the Vancouver Chinatown Revitalization Committee and the Chinatown Society Heritage Buildings Association. She is also on the board of the Chinese American Forum. Judy is passionate about teaching and sharing her knowledge, and in addition to her tour business, Historical Chinatown Tours, she also runs Masterclass Dumplings, where she teaches people how to make dumplings.
