Julie Magnan is the CEO and co-founder of MedOClock, a Montreal-based company that offers a mobile app for managing the care of dependent individuals. Julie came up with the idea for MedOClock after caring for her father who had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. The app offers a solution to the challenges faced by caregivers, who often suffer from burnout and exhaustion due to the demands of caring for their loved ones. The app provides a secure platform for caregivers to keep track of a patient’s information, including medical data, appointments, and care instructions. Caregivers can also communicate with the patient’s care team and family members through the app. Julie’s company operates on a B2B model, where the employer covers the cost of the service as an employee benefit. In 2021, she was awarded the Coup de Cœur du Grand Public by the Centre d’entrepreneuriat Université de Montréal.
