In 2015, Lara and her husband set out to bring cheese culture to the Yukon, opening Cultured Fine Cheese, a custom cut cheese shop in Whitehorse. Lara first became interested in becoming an entrepreneur to bring balance to her life after returning to her government job after maternity leave. Cultured Fine Cheese has met with eager customers who have stayed loyal over the past several years, indulging in the fine cheese and gourmet food offered in the shop. Lara’s store also sells curated gift baskets, oils and vinegars, and custom cheese platters for special events.
