Laurie MacKeigan

Laurie MacKeigan is the President of Backman Vidcom, the leading commercial audiovisual integrator in Atlantic Canada helping businesses improve their work environments by designing and integrating communication technologies, products and services. Prior to taking the helm of Backman Vidcom, Laurie worked in finance as a chartered accountant. In 2014, Laurie purchased Backman Vidcom, a 40 year old audiovisual firm, revitalizing the company which grown stagnant in a rapidly changing industry. Backman has been involved in providing audiovisual systems in very high profile projects since Laurie took over the company including the new Halifax Convention Centre.
