Leona Staples

Leona Staples is the proud owner and founder of The Jungle Farm Ltd., a family-run farm in Central Alberta. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Alberta. Leona has been managing The Jungle Farm with help of her family since 1996. They have expanded the farm to include strawberries and vegetables, complementing the grain farm that has been in the family for generations. Leona and Blaine have three sons who are all actively involved in the farm. Lewis, Richard, and Gerald all bring their unique skills and personalities to the farm, and have pursued different educational paths in fields such as electrical engineering, horticulture, and techgronomy. The family is committed to volunteering and giving back to their community, being active in organizations such as Alberta Farm Fresh Producers Association and Innisfail Chamber of Commerce.
