Lola Rasminsky

For more than 35 years, Lola Rasminsky has been breaking new ground in arts education for children.She founded the Avenue Road Arts School in 1993. She also founded the Arts for Children and Youth (now VIBE Arts), and the Arts Access Fund, both of which provide arts training and programming to youth from underserved communities in their pursuit of arts training. Her work has been recognized nationally, and she was appointed a member of the Order of Canada in 2008. She is also a contributor to the Globe and Mail, weighing in on subjects including creativity and youth arts programming.
