Lorelei Williams

Lorelei Williams is the founder of Butterflies in Spirit Society, a dance troupe that raises awareness for missing and murdered Indigenous women in Canada. Butterflies in Spirit is based in Vancouver, where they offer free shows and mentorship opportunities to at-risk youth. Lorelei is an advocate for Indigenous women. Her motivation behind Butterflies in Spirit comes from her own missing family members. She aims to address Indigenous social justice issues and build stronger relationships between Indigenous communities and the Vancouver Police Department. In 2021, Lorelei pitched Butterflies in Spirit at the British Columbia Pow Wow Pitch, where finished as a semi-finalist.
