Luna Yu

Luna Yu is the CEO of Genecis Bioindustries,a company that applies proprietary technology to use bacteria to convert food waste into PHA plastic, a biodegradable alternative to traditional plastics. Genecis is working towards a circular economy, creating plastics without the pollution or environmental costs. The end product is biodegradable within a month to a year at the end of its life cycle. Luna completed her Bachelors & Masters of Science from the University of Toronto within 4 years. She has co-founded and built 2 profitable software startups, both of which are still operating today.
