Melanie Morrison

Melanie Morrison is the founder and CEO of BetterCart Analytics, a Saskatchewan-based company that provides grocery retailers and manufacturers with deep insights into their industry, market, and competitors’ pricing using machine learning and artificial intelligence. The company optimizes billions of online grocery product records and delivers advanced analytics and pricing intelligence in real-time. By using the enriched and trusted data store, retailers and manufacturers are empowered with data to enhance their price image, operating profit, and customer and brand loyalty. Melanie has a background in data analysis and statistics with a PhD in Experimental Psychology. She has managed multi-million dollar research programs that were funded by federal and provincial agencies. BetterCart Analytics also operates a free price comparison web app called BetterCart.ca which helps people save money at the grocery store. Melanie won the 2021 STIC Award, hosted by the Saskatoon Regional Economic Development Authority.
