Olivia Elting

Olivia Elting is the co-founder of Mme L’Ovary, a company that offers environmentally friendly alternatives to disposable menstrual products. Olivia co-founded Mme L’Ovary alongside Érica Lebrun in 2017. The company’s vision is to inspire productive discussions about women’s health & concrete practices surrounding menstruation. The company’s story begins with Olivia’s beach day in Barcelona, when she thought she saw a beautiful fish in the ocean, only to discover that it was a disposable menstrual towel. Olivia herself is committed to effective menstrual protection, having practiced it for years as a circus artist. After her beach day, she undertook the task of creating environmentally sustainable menstrual underwear, which is now a primary product made by Mme L’Ovary. Since then, Olivia’s company has earned recognition across Canada, notably winning the BMO Celebrating Women Grant in 2022.
