Olufunke Olotu is the President of Àshàbí Wears, a sustainable clothing brand that makes clothing inspired by ancient patterns and heritage. The company uses organic fabric such as bamboo in creating super soft, breathable, and beautiful everyday wear. Àshàbí Wears was founded by Olufunke in 2019 after she worked at a bank for 15 years. She is an expert in customer service, project management, business analysis, and business process re-engineering, allowing her to successfully operate her company in Calgary, Alberta. Olufunke developed an interest in fashion when she learned how to sew after the birth of her fourth child. As an entrepreneur, she says that her company’s greatest achievement is making sustainable and breathable bamboo face masks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
