Orphanie Bégon-Leroy the founder of Les Poupées D’Or. She has made it her mission to bring much-needed diversity and representation to the toy industry. Having noticed the few options available in terms of black dolls on the market, and aware of the negative effects of this phenomenon on toddlers, Orphanie set out to fill this gap so that black children can see themselves reflected in their toys and be proud of their natural attributes. Her work has earned her several media appearances, including Global News, CBC radio, CTV Montreal and La Presse.
