Dr. Pooja Viswanathan

Dr. Viswanathan is the Co-Founder and CEO of Braze Mobility, the world’s first patent-pending blind spot sensors that can be added to any wheelchair, transforming it into a “smart” wheelchair. She has a passion for improving accessibility and independence for people with physical disabilities. Dr. Viswanathan has completed doctoral and post-doctoral research in robotics and assistive technologies, and has been working with “smart” wheelchair technology for over a decade. An expert in knowledge translation and commercialization, Pooja acts as a consultant to many Canadian networks and organizations and has received awards and scholarships from several prestigious organizations in Canada and the U.S., including Google.
