Rashmi Prakash is a biomedical engineer in Vancouver. She is the co-founder of Aruna Revolution, a feminine hygiene product company that provides radically inclusive compostable products that demolish period stigmas. Aruna Revolution contributes to the innovation of sustainable menstrual pads, which promotes women’s health and eco-responsibility. In 2023, the company was a finalist in Impact Canada’s Food Waste Reduction Challenge (Novel Technologies Streams). Rashmi is passionate about building technology that enhances the quality of life. She is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, where she earned a Bachelor of Applied Science and a Master of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering. She aims to use her platform to empower future generations of women engineers to be confident in their capabilities.
