Shelby Taylor

Shelby Taylor is the founder and CEO of Chickapea, a food manufacturing company that makes healthy and organic pasta. Chickapea is dedicated to social and environmental responsibility. They use plant-based proteins in their products, and they aim to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and water contamination in their production process. In 2022, Chickapea was ranked among The Globe and Mail’s Top Growing Companies in Canada, and they are in the world’s top 10% of B-Corp Certified companies. Shelby has been operating Chickapea out of Collingwood, Ontario since 2015. She ran a health shop before founding Chickapea, and she is a graduate of the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. Chickapea’s recipes primarily come from the kinds of pastas she began making for her family when she became a mother.
